in the details

Hello Beautiful,

I don't know about you, but I've had a big couple of weeks. Astrologically speaking, apparently the ground is shifting under me - and yes, I feel it. Not in big, catastrophic ways (thankfully!) but in subtle-yet-profound ways. For ages I've been asking to get un-stuck, and now I'm un-sticking, and it is disorienting and exciting and scary and good and...
dot dot dot...
Do you know what I mean?

When things are feeling un-stuck, I always come back to Nature as a source of joy, a place of safety, a touchstone. After reading this quote about light, by a Buddhist photographer, I found myself looking even more deeply at my beautifully familiar sights, and the photos above are a part of the result. God(dess) really is in the details. Just look.

I have felt as if I am traversing a rolling river log with spaghetti legs for quite some time now. Oh, to find my balance independent of the balance of others.

Hi madame,
love that analogy. that crazy rolling river log. i think it's always that way, though, what the buddhists call 'dukha', that perpetual discomfort and ceaseless movement that characterizes our life of impermanence. and do we, can we ever, find balance independent of the balance of others? i don't know. i wonder about this a lot.
